“APPIMAF’s mission is to serve as a regional professional organization promoting the awareness and implementation of industrial property rights in the Arab world”.

APPIMAF’s goal is to provide members with excellent membership services to enhance their practice and enrich their experience in the Intellectual Property Field.

By becoming an APPIMAF member, you directly become member of the International Association for the Protection of Industrial Property – AIPPI (www.aippi.org) Zürich, Switzerland, one of the most prestigious international organizations in the intellectual property field. APPIMAF is the first and only internationally recognized regional organization in the Arab world affiliated with AIPPI. Being part of the international organization AIPPI, APPIMAF offers an international platform where each member may contribute in discussions and research for the improvement of international and regional treaties and agreements as well as of national intellectual property laws.

APPIMAF Membership offers continuous support and professional development through its seminars, symposia, conferences and many other events that aim to keep professionals up-to-date with the latest regional and international developments and changes in intellectual property rights.

APPIMAF issues and distributes an Arabic quarterly publication, “APPIMAF Newsletter”, which discusses and reports on the latest legislation, resolutions and case law relating to intellectual property protection in the Arab world. It also includes research and studies published by the International Association for the Protection of Industrial Property (AIPPI), keeping members aware of the latest in intellectual property matters.

Membership Conditions

APPIMAF membership is available for IP practitioners and professionals residing and working in the region of the Middle East and North Africa.

To qualify for an APPIMAF membership, the applicant must be an experienced professional in the Intellectual Property field, and should provide the Admissions Committee with the following documents:

1.      Copy of his/her up-dated curriculum vitae

2.      Copy of his/her university degree(s)

3.      Copy of his/her APPIMAF application form

Membership Fees:

Membership fees are paid either by check made payable to APPIMAF or through a direct payment by a bank transfer to APPIMAF’s account.

Annual Membership fee is 290 CHF

Subscription fee is 50 CHF (Only payable once at joining the association)
